MB Real Estate is proud to be a partner of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition’s Teal Lights campaign. Between September 3rd and 27th, 181 West Madison will use teal lighting in an effort to raise awareness of NOCC’s mission to spread ovarian cancer education.
NOCC’s mission is to raise awareness and promote education about ovarian cancer, and to improve the survival rate and quality of life for women with ovarian cancer. In women ages 35-74, ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer-related deaths. More than 20,000 women in the United States are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year, and approximately 15,000 women die annually from the disease.
Unfortunately, most cases are diagnosed in their late stages when the prognosis is poor. However, if diagnosed and treated early, the five-year survival rate is more than 90 percent, making it imperative that early signs and symptoms are recognized.
